A poem about love and heartbreak
Her hair the flower lies therein,

His face a smile shines.

Their eyes meet in a veiled embrace

Their hearts are intertwined.

A shot broke up their merriment

         As broken hearted she

Began to kiss the blood-soaked boy

         Lying back on bended knee.

The men on horseback came upon

The unsuspecting two.

The girl with blood stained on her dress

The boy with tears soaked through.

Her hair fell as a mourning veil

In his hand flowers are clasped

As she said her final goodbye,

The blood ran from her lips.
