Iambic pentameter
Water ran down the windowpane

Upon my car that day in June.

His face, it shined just like my heart

Within its fettered tomb was locked

His eyes they searched my face in haste

Hoping to see a trace of hope

My eyes, they closed hiding my dread.

Our hearts will never become one

We kissed and kicked and laughed and cried

We huddled close and whispered dim

We tousled deep into the seat

We shared the wide, the waste, the deep.

The night did start to show the dawn

My throat cried let it be bye, bye.

He turned away his heart in hand

I walked home that night
