the death of a loved one can both torment and inspire.
Gentle hearts move and quiver
Delicately from sea to river
Lost and forgotten are we who stay
Never lose sight of we who lay

Snatched from us in tender year
You linger still forever near
Your life imbued in all I do
Proof that you are never through

Mountaintops soaring into the sky
Like dreams of you in my own eye
Sleep now and rest my faithful one
For my own life is not nearly done

Streams of music play their chords
Heaven’s delight in new rewards
A lullaby to life gone far
A homily to the life we are
