It is what it is.
Once I loved a woman so deeply
I lost myself in my incompetence
Clinging to her lies of faithfulness
Because I had nothing else to hold onto

I remind myself that it is over
Though when I rise from my slumber
I am still tired and depressed

I will go on in life knowing
That once I loved a woman so deeply
It made love not worth fighting for
My grievances still fresh these many years later
Afraid to repeat the same mistake over again
