This is a poem about music.
Sing a song that flows like moonlight, pouring downward from the night,
Hum a tune of distant musings, lost to dreams and void of light.
Call your heartfelt words of wisdom past the stars and through the sky,
Someday I might hear your music far beyond this empty lie.
Scream to me your starcrossed anthem all across this hellbound earth,
Show to all that fallen chorus filled with retributive mirth.
Let your verse be far from mercy, worn away by empty years,
Wasted ballads void of passion, swallowed up by hollow tears.

Will I hear your ravaged concord, pounding softly through my blood?
Will your chant of timeless venom drown beneath the crimson flood?
Now my empty heart of malice beats in tune with your sweet chime,
All the chaos lost to order flees to space to transcend time.
Here I taste my dark soul's dreaming, lost to flames of frenzied zeal,
I can't separate your verses from the dread beyond the veil.

Now my eyes are red with passion found beneath the sands of time,
In the desert spawned from loathing, far beyond the land of rhyme.
Digging in the dunes of anguish, grainy blood beneath my nails,
I won't hear the screams of passion sent to me by distant wails.
Ballads fade along with anthems, songs are broken by the sky,
Shining starless in the distance, mocking dreams until they die.
Dreams are slaughtered by the chorus carried here by winds of fate,
Not a note will bask in glory in my land of savage hate.
