This poem pertains to crossroads encountered in the journey of life.
She set her eyes upon the city,
then set her eyes upon the sea.
The lights were blinding,
and the depths complexity.
Caught between two paths,
she had to drive or dive;
all the while wondering
which would make her come alive.
A city filled with noise;
clutter, color, energy.
Or an ocean filled with silence;
peaceful blue infinity.
Sink or swim.
Crash and burn.
Lose or win.
Live and learn.
The city screams with cars and chaos,
too much for her to take.
So she built herself a sail boat,
and blissfully sailed away.
