This is a poem about losing a best friend

I’ve been staring at your photo all day
The one with the big smile on your face
Still trying to comprehend what just happened
Trying to figure out what just took place
I still don’t believe it
Reality still hasn’t set in
That you’re really gone
That I just buried my best friend
I’m so miserable
And I feel so much pain
Because I’m lost without you
And I know nothing is going to be the same
What am I going to do from here?
I really don’t know what to do
When I run into a problem
Who am I going to run to?
How am I going to be able to function?
Without you here
Not being able to
Is my biggest fear
Truth is I really don’t want to find out
All I want is you back here with me
But that will never happen
Because you’re resting in eternity
This pain is too much for me to bear
It’s too much to endure
I just can’t take this
I don’t want to feel like this anymore
I need you here with me
I don’t want to be alone
I don’t want to grasp the reality
Of your name written on a gravestone
