"...without any irritable reaching after fact and reason". Keats.

Falling into Place.

                              "...without any irritable reaching after fact and reason." Keats.

As I lay stunned on the sidewalk,

Betrayed by a single view,

I dreamed myself awake

In a world that the Ancients knew,

Where time's slow-footed succession

Contracts to co-incidence;

Where logic loses its reason,

For everything happens at once;

Where contraries congregate,

For far corresponds to near;

Where the lanterns of the night

Evoke what can never be clear.

Now I come and go in that world

Shaded from the sun;

Where the restless mind is stilled,

For wisdom and wonder are one.
