Poem based on . . . personal experiences, though I'm obviously not dead . . . yet
Just stop.

Breathe.

Everything, it's so overwhelming.
The lies, the truth,
Your voice, my thoughts.
I just want to scream,
To let it out,
To let the world know my pain.
To make them understand
What it's like to walk a mile in my shoes;
And how hard it is to bear the lashes on my back;
How it feels to be broken and alone;
And what it's like to live in Hell,
Where there's no way out.
No way to get away from Him,
The bearer of bad news,
The bringer of misery and misfortune,
The one who claims He love me as He beats me one more time,
The one who will bring about my death.
And then, maybe, the truth will be heard,
But my story will only join those of others,
Whose silence destroyed them in the end.
