Escape from reality.
Sand squishes through the spaces between my toes.
I feel warmth, not only from the gleaming sun, but also
from within my heart. I have an overwhelming urge to leap

into the white frosted tide. The water glides across my jewel
crusted skin without hesitation.  I wade in further soaking up
every bit of happiness I can handle.  The sun, always golden

in the sky, meets the moon and goes black. Only stars to
illuminate my surroundings, I lay on my back floating as if in
mid-air.  I make patterns till dawn when I'm called out. I trudge

back to reality, blinded.
