A poem about how a kid makes me feel. He pulls me in and then drops me back.
Hallway Movie

I see you down the hall.
Time stops.
My eyes are locked in place
On your perfect face.
I’m stuck.
Still as a statue.
Do you notice me?
As I stand there staring?

I watch.
Aw struck.
You creep closer and closer towards me.
I wonder if you’re coming to me.

My heart is racing.
My legs feel like jello.
My hands are quivering uncontrollably.
The perfect kid walking towards me.
This could be it.
The day I’ve been waiting for.
Waiting for so long.
It’s all coming true.

Until I feel the breeze of his pass on my face.
It’s all over.
He passed me.
Suddenly time starts again,
And I’m back in the real world.
Where I know he will never be mine.
