This poem is about loosing ones personal identity in a relationship, about submission.
The moon stands still
to watch
and grins

as trees release
their despair

falling, scattering
swirling around me
as the sky weeps

in its misery
peppering

droplets of sorrow
into me

stabbing
and shattering me
to pieces

while the wind
whispers
through the trees
dancing and laughing
at me
battered
in the midst
of it all
I lay
sobbing

broken
I give up my soul
and let the moon win
