It is a very intimate poem. Beyond this I cannot say much.
Love they say

Brings heart ache,

But I did not know it meant

Burning constantly at stake.

Constantly I have drunk

My pains and my tears;

No hand came to wrap me safe

And alleviate my fears.

Love has ravaged my heart,

I don't want to fight anymore.

I hope I don't hear it's clarion call again;

My wounds are still sore.

I wanted security

I was vulnerable

But no whispered words, not a touch

Just fables?

Give me back my lonely days

Let me return to my old ways,

Why do you chain me down, in a place

Where I cannot feel my self-rays?

Let me go, let me go, Love

Please let me go.

My hopes were set down, and

Smashed in rows.

I am incarcerated within myself

The tempests rage

And a lost ship upon an eternal ocean

Seeks anchorage.

          But it's a wait, an eternal wait.
