Standing here
In the darkness

Shackles that bind me
Confine me
Demons of my mind
Twisting, writhing, contorting
Visions in my eyes
Biting, snapping
Words that aren’t mine

Standing lifeless
Beaten in my sorrow
Crying helpless
Praying no tomorrow

Lying here
In the darkness
Awaiting judgement that is mine
Memories gone now
Wrong now
Lost to me in time
Lying, crying, silent
Quiet thoughts decline
Scratching, kicking, fighting
Actions that aren’t mine
