A poem inspired by the fleetingness of love.
a giggle, a glance,
It happened just by chance,
a grin, a smile,
can only last a while,
now, the broken promises of tomorrow,
have held my heart in sorrow,
a whisper, a kiss,
a moment of pure bliss,
a summer's cottage for vacation,
laid out in my imagination,
press stop, and rewind,
replay these thoughts inside my mind,
your breath tickled me with hope to last,
now it is merely in the past,
a flower will bloom, and then it will die,
not so different from a lie,
I've trained my throat to lock away your name,
for love is only a cryptic game,
so as the vapors of young love will arise,
whenever I think of you I'll close my eyes,
so goodbye my love, please float away,
For love is a wanderer who never will stay
