The struggles of a teen life
Last-Minute Pace

My life is a last-minute pace
Trying to keep up with the race
At weekends I’m strangled in lace
At weekdays I live to fill the page
Wondering if I’ll ever earn a wage
Pushing myself to get to that stage
Tumbling, falling, grinding, and stalling
Waiting to hit the ground-bottom
Barely hitting the ground running
Tottering, tottering over the edge
Just grasping that ever-so high ledge
