| How can the absence be so painful? How can the numbness be so consuming? How can everyone go on around me? How can happiness be so dooming? Each day passing by unnoticed Every hour stretching on forever Each minute passes with no event Every second an arduous endeavor Life seems to be doomed Little things no longer fulfilling Longing for more Living life unwilling Pain is only felt when physical People began to fade away Pleasure no longer exists Please stop the dismay How can the absence be so painful? Escaping it seems hopeless Life keeps moving on Prickling overlooked progress How can the numbness be so consuming? Every inch of my body in its drench Lethargic in its presence Piercing silence its only quench How can everyone go on around me? Easily escaping the hurt Living as if there is no damage Poignant oblivion as they avert How can happiness be so dooming? Elation brings me pain Life no longer worth living Pleasure posses as feign |
