A poem about a tigresses night
Tiger

Eyes that burn into your very soul,

Leaving you no place to hide.

Stripes that blur past,

With tails that flicker.

The tiger patrols her area to warn off predators.

But once back in the cave her mood decreases,

As her new born cubs race,

To feed then sleep, and dream of running against the wind.

But out into the night she stares,

On edge against the hidden foes.

For they are lurking, waiting, for a chance.

To steal those little ones life’s away…

To destroy her soul.

To make a mark, which cannot be forgotten.

Especially when she lays alone in the dark.
