Describe the emotion but never say it. Then, you will have truly felt the emotion.
My eyes are a flutter,
Meeting soft, reflected light,
As I hear the mutter
Of water’s descending flight.

I stand in shallow water pools;
Waves moving to and fro.
The center shines with infinite jewels
That cast the faintest glow.

I don’t feel so cold,
Even with icy tones
Sparkling on the green gold
Of moss on stones.

I breathe out a long sigh--
Wispy wind washes over me
As I look to the sky
To see the starry sea.

Just above the central sight,
A floating harp plays
And music fills the night
Drawing my softest gaze.

The melody follows a rhythmic tune,
Of waterfalls making the walls,
Of chambers open to the moon,
And echoes its liquid calls.

My eyes close once more
And I wander blindly
Towards the music to explore
The song playing kindly.

There’s sudden light upon the pools;
The day comes so soon,
Forgetting a night’s brightly shining jewels,
Forgetting the slowly fading tune…
