the grass is always greener on the other side
Nobody said life was easy; it was never a piece of cake,

Once in a while star struck lovers, they suffer from heart ache

Lies are told, tears are shed, and our dreams can get shattered

Through all the sadness, and all the pain we forget what really mattered

The rain seems never ending; the grey clouds won’t go away

All our happiness has evaporated, but the ache inside us seems to stay

We began life so happy, so overjoyed and bright

Now any of what once was, has disappeared out of sight

But not once do we ever complain, hating life or scream

Somewhere where our soul once was we think this is all a dream

And when we wake up to reality; we will wake up to a nice big house

To the smell of waffles and pancakes for breakfast cooked by our famous spouse

And soon that life becomes a nightmare too, and we again begin to dream

Of a world so beautiful so peaceful, that we would never have the need to scream
