poem written for an English class
Is this where I'm supposed to be?
No one can really tell for certain.
There are others here after the same thing
but only now have our paths crossed.

Time separated us and now space confines us,
merely limits on our existence.
Are they meant to protect us?
Or do they simply exist to hide our souls
from the truth beyond the boundaries they impose.

With a purpose in mind, each of us walk our own path.
Along the way, we may find others that walk with us,
but they too, strive to reach an individual destination.

The time spent walking this path
will not easily pass from our minds.
The information gained and the presence felt
only serve to crumble the walls that have been built.

Time separated us and space confined us.
Neither no longer have say over
the manner in which our lives are lead.
The truth has only begun to reveal itself.

Will we meet again in the future?
No one can really tell for certain.
We're all after the same thing
but only now have our paths crossed.
