Just something I drafted during my latest apathetic funk. Which has become semi-permanent.
There once was a young boy,

Lost in a dream,

No matter what he did,

Nothing was as it would seem,

He spent years alone,

In this desolate place,

Knowing only the wild,

And not another face,

He knew not what he needed,

Or where to go,

What he was destined for,

And how he would know,

But on the horizon,

Came a spot of light,

It was you,

Come to make his world right,

You showed him the way,

You showed him a land,

What he was for,

As you held his hand,

You helped him from the dark,

And from the fear.

You showed him a purpose,

And gave me something to hold dear.
