A poem I wrote one night while pondering my life up to this point.
I cannot say I'm happy,
I cannot say I'm free,
I cannot truthfully say I'm where I want to be?

Life is fickle and anything but dull,
And all too often, my spirit is null.

Overwhelming and scary, I'm being tested.
I wake up every morning without feeling rested.

Time used to soar, like an eagle gracing the sky.
Now time crawls by, and I don't know why.

I'm on the edge of insanity, anticipating my fall.
Things would be easier if I could just stand tall.

Everyday's a struggle to wake up and smile,
And I can't stagger on one more mile.

Will I ever get out of this miserable life,
The stress, the anger, the lies, the strife?

I guess I'll just have to wait and see,
If I agree with what life has in store for me.
