A strange nightmare I had.
Long ago I found myself on top a hill with a curious tree.
I never called into question where I might be.
Light pink cherry blossoms floated from its arms.
Surely in this heaven, I could not be harmed.
I floated through a school yard, where I was lead,
Through a corridor with chandeliers draped high overhead.
An eerie shadow passed silently through the hall.
Suddenly, I could hear several voices call.
They sounded solemn and hostile,
Whispering my name.
Now I cannot seem to recall why I came.
There is a room with a frightening sight,
Upon which I stumble in the dead of night.
Mangled and messed,
My poor hero lays permanently to rest.
His limbs are twisted about and frozen in place,
There is a metal birdcage attached to his face.
My spirit cannot sleep tonight,
Forever burdened by such a strange sight.
