A poem about the Goddess to whom I pray, Hecate, Queen of the witches.
Hecate
By clan Lore Master and priest to Hecate
Nathaniel Murray

Hecate, goddess of darkness and night,
Bathing the landscape in supernatural light.
Mistress of the moons darkest phase,
Queen of all witches, so sing her praise.

Hecate, guardian of crossroads and gateways,
Helping travellers upon their ways.
She commands earth, sea and sky,
Guiding those whom may die.

Hecate, the earth will bellow, trees will dance,
Howling dogs in glimmering light advance.
Hermes, her beloved, her consort,
Love of a beautiful sort.

Hecate, Goddess of ancient Greece,
Her protective watch will never cease.
With a flaming torch doth she guide,
Her features doth her flowing cloak hide.

Hecate, beauty comparable to none,
Museus, her musing son.
Yew, the resurrecting tree,
Eternal life that you can see.

Hecate, goddess of mystery and magic,
Vatican made her fate tragic.
Made into a disgusting hag,
Disbelieving tongues will always wag.
