About when my best friend betrayed me
BETRAYAL
by Lou Cypher

Betrayal can come in many forms,
But is always a Rose guilded with savage thorns.
Broken and shredded hearts filled with Pain,
Feeling and emotion being slain.

Anger, Grief, and Anguish,
Can take away the hearts deepest wish.
Till nothing is left but withered and hollow,
Spiritual Death will surely follow.

To survive this, your heart must harden like a fortress wall,
Refusing to take a fall.
Sometimes Love is worth a chance,
But betrayal can pierce like a lance.

To all those who have betrayed me in the past I say this,
I part ways with a loving embrace and kiss.
For you have made me stronger still,
Galvanised and strengthened my will.

I say thank you for the pain,
Thank you for the emotions slain.
For through struggle and strife,
I grow and expand within my life.
