A short, sweet poem about a boy and girl in Sao Paulo
What If ...

Lulled by sweet strings,
He sang her foreign words,
Heat dripped over everything,
His brown eyes became her world.

Draped over the porch swing,
His fingertips explored her skin,
He took her dancing,
She let him in.

The breeze blew her hair,
His hands held her tight,
The city was beneath them,
Everything was right

She caught her breath,
His smile made her weak,
Sao Paulo was a buzz,
She didn't have to think.

Lost in a moment,
He said the word love,
She took off running,
Waving goodbye forever,
from an airplane above.

An attempt at a rhyming poem.
(Unlike most of my work, this is not a true story...but wouldn't it be beautiful if it were?)
