Tribute to one long gone
A smile, a laugh, a held hand
A journey through a new and wondered land
A blade of grass seeks anew,
the warmth of you.

The child's eyes begins to see,
all that's offered, thanks to you.

A blade of grass, sighs and dies, the child eyes dim too

Thrust without the warm embrace of you, who died too soon

Too much moon, too little light

A death too soon, a shattered soul

Too much moon, too little light.

Memories alive bright and clear, misbegotten years, the wrenching pain

Too much moon, too little light

Tears slip throughout the years

What might have, what changes could

Too much moon, too little light

My heart weeps, my soul remembers

The child who was

Too much moon, too little light

The years have past and I still grieve, and miss the joy of loving you.

Too much moon, too little light

Forever more, I am yours.

Too much moon, too little light,

Caried forevermore............
