fear of committment?
Don’t tell me I am beautiful;
so much is yet unseen.
The superficial
hides the truth
about
what lies beneath.

Don’t tell me I’m your future;
the story is yet untold.
The characters
evolve and change
throughout
as dreams unfold.

Don’t tell me that you love me;
for love cannot be real.
The unrequited
heart sits caged
without
its master key.
