Short poem about regret.
I rue the days that I have lost
Through wanton wastes of time
I rue the ways in which I've cost
My wings and chance to fly

I rue too much for one so young
I tear and tend my wounds
I rued the touch of those unstung
Who live inside cocoons

I rue that I have much to rue
Of bonds and oaths I've broken
I rue the fact that I'm not you
Although we've never spoken.
