The opening to my gcse controlled assessment :)
Tall metal gates guarded its prisoners; mangled hedges abely assissted its mission of imprisonment. The wind teased the inmates with freedom as it carried their distorted cries for mercy out onto the bleak street. The silence resumed. Yet, without a murmur, something broke free. This something had not been heard of in this place for years. Hope. The hope that set them free. The memories that were chained in the walls were embracing the freedom as bull-dozers and crains crashed through the prison walls and ended their sentence. The house was no more.
