Work, work, work
Kismet 72

Something quick, something witty,
Something sad but true, but without pity

Here we sit, grinding away
Working these jobs day by day

Crunching numbers, managing folks
Reports to the boss, hoping it all floats

We think to ourselves, “I need a vacation…”
Chill on the beach, or play some Playstation

And when the days finally come that we get to relax
Those thoughts creep in, “did I remember to send that fax?”

Working at work, working at home
Working at the beach, working by phone

Why do we do it? And why do we care?
So much of our life; it doesn’t seem fair

Today I make a promise; I’m going to change all that
Today I finally vow; that I’m going to relax

Just like yesterday…
