This is a poem about addiction. Thanks to critics it's a little better than before.
As I walk in my days
all is good, life is well,
Taking the tarry
The satisfaction
My body craves.
Slowly but silently
A mysterious force
Flexes it's muscle,
The grip tightens.
When I sleep
The dreams fight.
The hidden force
Oppresses me,
The silent blows
Hitting left and right.
It wrestles with me
Until it drains my strength.
I heed.
The cravings take over.
I get up,
Brush myself off.
I walk in my days
All is good, life is well.
