A poem about the beach at dusk......
The sand is like silk under my toes,
Soft and supple.
There isn't really words to describe how lovely it is.

The sun is setting over the horizon,
Setting the vast blue ocean before me on fire.
Brilliant shades of red, gold, pink and orange.
Even the clouds are puffs of flame.

In the distance,
A small pod of dolphins leap up into the sky
And dive deep back into the shimmering water;
Making a game of it.

The waves start to pull into the shore,
Whoosing quietly over the golden sand,
Leaving tiny treasures behind.
Treasures that I pick up and place gently in a hand wovern bag;
Taking them back to my home.

As the sky grows darker and the sun goes to rest behind the horizon,
The moon rises and takes its place in the velvet night.
Stars begin to appear and twinkle in the moonlight,
And the water turns to a sparkling silver,
Instead of a gleaming gold.

I head off home,
Thinking of my day at the shore,
It's my time to rest now,
My time to sleep.
