November 2010 blessings list
Curled on my lap a longhaired black cat;
Opened the fridge and found chocolate;
Unopened can of coffee waiting;
Neighbors wave shout holiday greetings;
Turkey and cranberry sauce cravings;
Inches of snow on Mount Charleston:
November the month to count my blessings;
Going out to eat on Thanksgiving Day.

Making my own cranberry sauce,
Yields memories of Grandma on Turkey Day.

Blustery days spent in a warm house;
Large Santa Claus mugs of hot chocolate;
Eating turkey soup on Black Friday;
Singing Christmas songs in a hot shower;
Stuffing baked with mushrooms and oysters;
Ignoring the cold to make a snowman;
Nuts in dishes wait for me to eat;
Giving change to bell rings in the mall;
Succulent new recipes to try.
