This poem is about the impatience of one and how seperation can tear the soul apart.
I Wait

I wait
I can barely stand
My shaking knees have given way
My gaze now upon the floor
Hands pressed rigidly against my chest
Fearing that if I let go
My heart will rip in two
My brows are furrowed in a pained expression
My teeth cutting into my lip
Drawing the salty crimson liquid from my clenched mouth
Aching
Impatience is like a beast
Clawing and scraping my insides
A flaw I cannot hide
Cannot swallow
Cannot destroy
This emotional calamity
Wreaking havoc on my thoughts
The border of insanity is being threatened
Sure to be crossed, if I am not relieved of this lunacy
