The other side to heart break
Dear Tourniquet

Dear Tourniquet,
11/21/10

Can't you see what you're doing to me?You have my heart in your hands, don't you know your grip's too tight? Playing foolish games, smiling as you dangle my feelings back and forth, string about to break. When I threaten to move on, you suddenly have better intentions. I promise you, you can love too much. Squeeze harder, and I assure you, it will stop beating.
You need to let go. It's best for both of us, trust me. Please, I can't breathe. In a perfect world, you'd know how to love me, but look around. It's far from just, from decent. I can't feel anymore, you've made me cold. Chest icy, I say to you with my now visible breath, goodbye. All I am left with now, is numbness.
