A soldier in the battlefield spends his last breath thinking about the woman he loves.
Gunshots and fire,
Scream after scream,
Violence is all I ever dream.

The thought of you is claming and cool,
Takes my mind of the fact that I live in a blood pool.

I close my eyes and you’re in me,
You breathing softly,
And smiling sweetly.

My only goal is to be with you,
The warmth of your arms,
What else can I do?

I’m sick with the thought,
Risking day after day,
This might be my last moment,
I’ll spend it this way.

Thinking of you,
And where we could be,
Instead of worrying,
You next to me.

If I should die now,
I’ll remember your ways,
See your angelic image,
As my soul drifts away.
