A poem representing the pleasure of spiritual and physical freedom.
My World...

Somewhere my soul dwells freely,
Somewhere I am able to breathe deeply,
Somewhere I cry like when I was born
And the moon smiles down at me, warmly

That is my world - my only possession
Far away from the immoral congestions
It lies silent...dark and brightly lit
It lies with me - my only obsession

I go there often when the lights go out
Low-lying, breathing fields welcome me
I see my hut, lucid, two miles away -
Two miles, two more steps, and I will be free!

I sit by the lake...I think of your world;
A world where it does not matter who you are,
A world where man kills man,
Where most spirits are covered in tar

I sit by the lake...I think of God
And thank Him for giving me my world;
Where I can sleep and pray fearlessly,
Where nature loves me, and tortures are not hurled

I drink the surrounding fragrance and scenery,
It moves me into a magical trance,
It lifts my soul to pure freedom
And allows my power and happiness to enhance

I open my eyes and look back at the moon -
I look back at the lake...and smile,
I embrace nature as it envelops my soul,
I breathe freely, even if only for a little while...
