heartbreak when you end a relationship
This hole that is thrust deep inside my chest
Expands and expands until your face is a blur
If I erased the memory of what I thought was so sure
I would get to the point where my existence would become a mist
Damaged, broken, and full of regret
Forever means nothing when just spoken as a word
Your face appears and my heart breaks more
This black hole of emptiness disappears into abyss

Hearts can be repaired, and faces can be erased
Time expels this cavernous of blackness
Memories don’t have to be exposed
All the pain can be dispelled when it’s hidden away
I will not choose to be a mess
My heart will be as free as a black crow
