Description about a dream I keept having, from when my father abused me.
I looked around and no one is to be found,
All I hear is the clock ticking, tick, tick, tick,
It's so quite that I can hear my own thought,
"Hello is anyone there?"

"What's going on?" "Where is everyone?" "Will I be left alone forever?"
I walk through the house, to see if I can find anyone,
As soon as I turn around I hear someone scream,
"Are they in pain?" "Or are they being hurt by someone?"

I must go find out, and see what's going on, also to see if I can help,
As I get closer to the scream, it gets further away,
"Am I dreaming?" "Or is this real?" I need to know,
As they scream for help I start screaming back,
"Where are you?" "Can you hear me?" "Do you need help?"

It's too dark to see anything or anyone, there's the clock again,
Tick, tick, tick, now I hear them crying, so they must be getting hurt,
I scream again, "Please tell me where you are at," so I can help you,
My heart is beating so fast to where I can feel it in my chest.

I start to leave to find help, but as soon as I got to the door,
They scream out "he's going to be coming back for you,"
"You can't hide from him," the pain will never leave you,
So now I'm terrified, if this is a dream, someone please wake me up.

I can hear them clear now, it seems like it's my own self talking back,
Now I can feel the pain, god it hurts so badly,
There he is, the strange voice was right; he is coming back for me,
I start to scream out, "hey are you still there?"
"How did you know about this?"
"Where did you go?" Don't leave me alone, please help me."

No one seem to answer me back, all I hear is footsteps thump, thump, thump,
He's getting closer to me, and then all of a sudden a deep voice speaks out,
"Who are you talking too?" "It's just you and me here,"
I tell them that can't be true, there was someone else screaming in the background,
Also they were talking to me a few minutes ago,
The deep voice speaks again, “no it was you screaming, and can’t you feel the pain?"

This must be a dream, someone wake me up, before it happens again,
I don't want to be abused again, next thing I know I'm falling to the floor,
And everything goes black, there's that voice again,
"I try to warn you, he was coming back for you, and there is no place to hide,"
"Do you feel the pain again?" "The pain will never leave and neither will he."

The voice started to fade, but I asked "who are you?"
"And how did you know about this?" "Why didn't you stop him?"
They slowly answer back before they faded completely,
"I am you, and I know about this because it's happened before,"
"Another thing you couldn't stop him then, so you can't stop him now,"
"And before you ask who is he?" "It's your father.

The voice is gone, the room is dark,
All I hear is the clock ticking, in the background,
As I'm left laying on the floor alone,
I guess it's a dream of the past.
