Eat their eyes
absorb their memories
forever entranced with the deaths of many
fall from grace to pull yourself up
from hell's embrace with the claws of night
sinking into the earth as gravity tries to drag you back
find your wings scattered across the tiles of life
let them bring you to the light of a new dawn
throw back the curtains to drive the shadows back
form the words in your mind that no one understands
embrace your own language
put your thoughts on the page with spatters of ink
take out the garbage and begin anew
the world doesn't need this kind of writing
like a key that doesn't fit into the grooves
to unlock their minds and break them free of their demons
they're content to mine the veins of conformity
