I was inspired on a snowy January morning while gazing outside and missing my husband.
A Poem for My Husband

Full, fluffy snowflakes slowly fall all around us
We stand close, so close to feel each others’ heat
Blissfully unaware of everything around us
Oblivious to the hustle and bustle of the street
It’s just you and me together, and our heat

For the millionth time, but just like the first
I gaze into your sweet adoring blue eyes
And enjoy this moment, as though it’s our first
Promise me we’ll never exchange goodbyes
And that it’ll be the end of time when this feeling dies

In a kiss, a single soft and warm gentle kiss
I fall in love with you all over again
I am taken back – taken forward to this kiss
I am happier than I’ve ever been, always been
Together we shall fall in love over and over again

You are my world, my life, my home
I desire only to be with you for all of time
At the end of this day let’s go home
Let’s lie together and dream of time
As we hold each other for the rest of time
