A difficult time.
Only Love (A poem for my husband, which I may never show him)

Dec. 22, 2010

Tiptoeing on a thin crust

That could crumble like yesterday

I gravitate toward the distant truth

Of what was previous to yesterday

This truth is what I live for

It is the breath of you and me

I find a way to clench onto it

And yank myself away from this new me

All I want is our time

I want to send away the pain

Sipping blood from my half empty glass

I allow this guilt to worsen my pain

A memory of a rose

Sweet sweaty passion in the night

A dream of flying away with love

A vision of an everlasting night

Dream with me of love my dear

And come away with me in love

Kiss the blood from my salty lips

And take me to where we may always love

Only love
