I did this for school. Its long and has no exact style. Its just a mish mash i guess
Amidst the world,
We love and share,
There is a part,
Where the love is lost,
Where smiles are ceased,
And tears are cried,
Where everything is dire

They see the world,
In a different light.
Their land,
Scarce.
Harsh.
And filled with dirt,
To which nothing can compare.
Their feet blistered,
Their hands wrecked,
Their faces,
Full of worry,
And not a hope at all.

They meander, lonely
Unto which no extent.
Children,
Without a parent in sight,
Are left alone,
Deserted,
Isolated,
With no “Superhero”
To save the day.

They work all day,
For pay that’s low
Their work,
Despicable.
Full of flies and germs,
Nothing we can understand.

For everything
They wish for,
We have had
For generations.
We take it for
Granted.
We take,
No notice,
We don’t realise
Just how much
We have.

For they
Have nothing.
Only the people
They know.
No food.
No water
That is safe.
Their belongings
The number stands at
Zero.
For the money they have
Can only buy
The necessities.
The necessities,
They don’t have.

They seem to
Stand alone.
There aren’t many of them
Right?
Wrong!
More than
Half the world
Is poverty stricken.
Yet the realisation,
Of this is
None.

But through all of this,
We can do something.
The thing is,
We don’t.
For we are,
Greedy.
Unjust.
Unloving.
