a writer reflects on the times that he lives in, and discovers an epiphany.
To be a writer of
such tranquil times
gives little to watch
or write.

But what it is,
           is what it seems.

A time of peace
can bring about recovery,
But only times of war
may bring discovery.

The true nature of men
only emerges on the brink
of broken dreams.
Only then may men learn
to grow wings.
Wings that free them
from the oppression of many.
Freedom to see the world,
so few can see.
A world of broken dreams,
so many fail to see.
A world where darkness seems
to over whelm the light.
But it is the men with wings
that bring down the light.
A single candle that will be
the light of many.
The light that will
break the darkness
so many seem to carry.
The darkness that holds
The light with in, the light
that will bring about
our deepest desire.
The desire to be free
from this world of oppression,
the world that men created.
For it is not God that will break the bonds
of darkness, but only the strength of men
may set us free, men must bring an end
to there own oppression.
Only then, can they bring their dark
world into the world of the light.
