This is usually considered by some as my best work. Lost love not found in the snow.
It’s two o’clock,
Late in the night.
Trying to sleep,
But finding it hard to turn off the light.
And I’ve got nowhere to go,
And the snow, it blinds me so,
Sitting here, stuck in misery,
I wonder why it’s so hard to see.

Storms rage on,
The world gets cold,
Walking in the night,
It becomes too much to withhold.
I know I have to get home,
But the snow, it blinds me so,
And I become stranded, the cold growing close,
The world becomes another,
Everyone taking their dose.

I’m in this,
Nowhere to run,
And locked away from the rest of the world,
I feel.
The snow becoming too real,
And not a person,
Out there,
In a truthfully empty field,
As the ice freezes over,
My desires becoming faint.

And the lights get older,
I’m not too sure of what’s next,
But there’s not much left,
At four AM, the mind, perplexed,
As the snow, it blinds me so,
As I know the sun rises soon,
But the snow won’t quit,
Because I know it just keeps on,
The clouds crowding in on a lost soul,
And lost love, forever in the cold,
Never to be found, call of the search,
Because it was never here at all,
Because you broke it.
