One of my darker periods in a 4 year depression, Thankfully I had my cats,
Sleep 23rd ~ 30th June 08

Sleep come to me, sleep soothe me,
Take me to a faraway land,
Where everyday pain has no command,
To where memories have no place,
Where I cannot be tortured by his face,
Take me to a land of forgettable leisure,
Where every emotion can’t be turned form pleasure,
Let me know nothing in blissful unreality,
Take me away from the heartbreak of humanity.

Sleep come to me, sleep soothe me,
Take me back to a world of my own,
Where I am myself and still love has grown,
Where I have all I need within his kiss,
Don’t make me wake up to lose all this.

The hardest thing to do is let go of your dreams!

Sleep sleep take me under,
Don’t want to be here any longer,
Take me down to no return,
Don’t want to think, don’t want to learn,
Don’t want to feel, don’t want to know,
I just want to sleep until I can go.

Sleep sleep put me under,
Sleep time away so I can’t wonder,
Take this pain away from me,
Quiet my thoughts and set me free,
I cannot hope anymore,
I don’t know what I am breathing for,
I cannot cope with my lifeless heart,
For love and life are far apart.

Sleep sleep hold me under,
Don’t let me rise to torturous thunder,
I cannot continue to open my eyes,
To disloyal people and a world I despise,
It cannot be right to live in vain,
Where every relationship is just a game,
Trap my mind to a world tranquil and dark,
Let shadows claim my soul and eat upon my heart.

To sleep this nightmare of life away,
To never open my eyes again to agony of day,
This is what I long to see,
To endless nowhere I need to be,
There my eyes cannot rest upon his face,
Take me to this peaceful place,
Time cannot heal my torn tattered spirit,
I cannot live in a world where there is no love in it!

Sleep sleep drag me under deep,
Don’t interfere with my soothing sleep.
