Can I trust you
With my cold secrets
Or will you burn them
With sweet delight?

Will you protect me
When sticks and stones
Bare their teeth or
Will you run?

How can you live
To hurt those who
Chose to embrace you
With blissful ignorance?

Are you a friend
Or a foe who
Will love me till
The very end?
