A confuzed and broken heart...
          Awake, alone, staggered, and ashamed,

I look into the eyes of something long since felt.

On the verge of total completion, yet so far from total retribution --

This situation does nothing, save raise for questions.

As while my heart may know, my head sometimes forgets --

It's not always so easy.

So I wait, I hope, I pray,

Can I make it?
